The Mascot : Facts Finding Friends
This approach anthropomorphizes the Gen-Z mind into small geometric shapes (Think Inside Out). The Fact Checking Friends represent common cognitive biases and misconceptions that people may face when fact checking. Featuring small, simple, and brightly coloured shapes to illustrate emotions in an abstract manner. Each shape has their own unique personality, which dictates the way they interact with each other/ their surroundings.
Yellow Speech Bubble: Naive, Head empty no thoughts → Doesn’t question information given to them, especially if the source SEEMS trustworthy.
Blue Square: Stubborn, Overconfident → Thinks he’s always correct. Refuses to change his stance when faced with opposing information, even if it is the truth.
Green Squiggle: Overly Cautious, Easily Overwhelmed → Gets confused when overwhelmed with too much information. Too cautious to reject any info, even when it’s obviously false.
Red Starburst: Loud, Excitable, → superspreader of misinformation, attracted to juicy news and hot gossip even when it’s fake.

The Art Direction
In an abstract realm, the Fact-Finding Friends embark on a journey, exploring and observing media shared online. Each scene unfolds with them engaged in various activities, keenly investigating and observing the news to uncover the truth.
