Trusted Media Summit is an event by Google News Initiative, Every year, they gather journalists and other guests who are interested in media resources. Hosting a summit on trusted information of the happenings of the year and its impact to the media resources.
Long history with Think Travel
Villains Pte Ltd has a long collaboration with Think Travel event, and in the year of 2022 and 2023, I was delighted to be part of the think travel event. With the ever-changing business travel landscape coupled with the complexities surrounding the pandemic, staying up-to-date on the travel industry information is more important than ever. Each year, The team and I developed concepts and Key Visuals to illustrate Google’s Value and to the travel industry.
The Key Visual
Year 2022 during a representation of navigating through challenging times, a sailboat, with its sails unfurled, cuts through an ocean where the waves are uniquely depicted as bar graphs. This imaginative seascape represents the turbulence of data and information. Aboard the sailboat is a solitary figure, embodying the collective spirit of an audience facing forward, symbolising progress and determination.
This key visual is not one of celebration but one of resilience and contemplation, echoing the global journey of recovery from the pandemic and the sobering realities of ongoing conflicts. The sailboat's journey through these metaphorical waves of data and uncertainty captures the essence of perseverance and the courage to embrace the unknown.
The Event
Expanding on the narrative of the key visuals, a three interaction series is set to be used for all prints collaterals, using the quantities of the prints collaterals to allow the visitors to get immersed into the key messaging for year 2022. The key visual serves as the cornerstone of the series, showcasing a sailboat bravely navigating through tumultuous data waves, representing the challenge and resolve found in every journey. Shifting from turbulence to tranquillity.
The second piece presents a serene sea of data under a blanket of calming clouds, offering a moment of reflection and peace. The series culminates with the third visual, where the sun triumphantly breaks through the clouds, heralding hope and new beginnings. With the alteration of using different iterations, the narrative of the key visual depicts its journey of an ongoing maritime adventure.
